Samson (VII)

The lover offers her hand to take
To Samson along the shores of the lake
No believer in preordained destiny
She chooses to write her own history

To be a people enslaved or free
One affords one's own dignity
Shaping the steps of things to come
Even in the Philistine kingdom

Chasing along the sandy shore
Samson chooses love as he listens more
She believes in him with her kiss
It's a deep faith hard to dismiss

She asks him who he chooses to be
He replies husband and father of family
She smiles happy and feelings serene
Together, she hopes they'll live this dream
