Fortune Cookie's End
by Michael Romani

Intricate isn't it
How each part has its place
Snuggly in tune to fit
Warm in its embrace

Simple it is
Yet, complicated
It is what it is
Awesomely fated

Its practical chemistry
Delicious in its taste
Cherished in its intimacy
Enjoyed without haste

Tempura on cheese cake
With sprinkles on top
More than my stomach can take
But, until the end I won't stop

This moment lived has its poetry
The fortune cookie tells me all
When it says to be me perfectly
A lesson I'll try to remember and always recall
