There are times and places filled with spaces when you see there is a lot of darkness behind smiling faces…Sometimes in those places, you make mistakes you wish you could take back and cannot.

Woken Façade

As if woke from a dream
I have to realize everyone here
Is and was never what they seem
This causes me some fear

Everyone dances behind their façade
As if we and they might mask
Failing themselves and God
And now, I must take myself to task

The Devil is full of so many tricks
Hidden deep behind all of his charm
Time passages slowly tick and tick
While he goes about causing his harm

Dante's Inferno is a very good read
For understanding the levels of deception
My own have caused my soul to bleed
There in that infinite conception

I know that I did that wrong
But, also know that I repent
Knowing where it is that I belong
Hell have no fury, but, please relent

For the love of God show some mercy
I don't think  you'll find it heresy
To find we are all prone to make mistakes
Is it ours then to cause each other heartbreak?
