In days of old, God sought out after even one righteous man. He found him in Noah. The following is based in part on Genesis 6:5-7:
Seeking the Favor of God by Michael Romani In the fabled days of antiquity The world became one with iniquity A loveless world hard to embrace God searched after one faithful face All seeing; never able to be blind God regretted creating mankind Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord In so doing, he became salvation's sword The lesson to be drawn isn't so odd But that we should walk in the favor of God Avoiding the certain destruction of our tomorrow By making our ways pleasing not those of sorrow We must seek to heal and not to add injury Living life's of joy spent in His divine energy Acceptance and support should be our intention These are what bring the Lord's eternal provision God's presence in our lives burns holy fire That guides us to our every righteous desire Bringing the best that might truly inspire The absent of this is perhaps equally dire The Lord's love is necessary to save us from sin Poured out on each of us as needed again and again There are consequences in choices in our life style That can be questionable and result in our denial We can check this by what other might deduct From the witness of our character and our conduct Watching carefully the words chosen in conversation And how these match an outsider's observation All of these things hold their particular relevance As evidence for the loving touch of divine providence And where these things seem to be a bit amiss It is wise for God's children to pay attention to this God has gifted us all with the ability to truly listen Not just hearing but yearning to be truly blessed then In taking in the lessons that we each need to hear And from these knowing and growing as we persevere (c) August 11, 2019 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
