Lessons From Thomas

Based in part on John 20: 24-31:

Fairy Tales Castle I Believe In Magic

Lessons From Thomas
by Michael Romani

Oh my God, I have so much doubt
Always wondering what it's about
Expectations so seldom feeling met
Too many turns that I sadly regret

Sometimes, I wonder if you really care
And though I fear I ask you when I dare
It seems no doubt that Thomas has little on me
Always needing proof of God's integrity

Asking and demanding things, I have no right
Needing to see by own eyes and through my sight
All that it is that is needed to truly know
Feeling like a fool dancing in the shadows

When I seem faithless no longer willing to believe
You faithfully teach me more than I can conceive
All of this serving mostly to show my need to learn
And by so growing, I come to the point of knowing to discern
