The Paradox of Being

A poem of gratitude #9 for all that God has brought into my life, all the lessons learned and the love felt as blessings along the way.

The Paradox of Being
by Michael Romani

It's there in our perspective
Being less about you and me
But in our humbled collective
As you and I become more solidly we

It's less about the right or wrongness
And more about the belongness
A paradox of intertwined humility
Brings us full circle into closeness with divinity

With no need left to try and out compete
We love, rinse and keep this cycle on repeat
In doing this we keep places for peace and mystery
As we allow the moments that make up possibility

We wake to the truth that these moments allow us
And rejoice in this, trusting and knowing that because
The living in honest moments is what allows us to reach trust
And that to truly live and love this is what we must

I have met you in that field beyond all right and wrong
Finding in this meeting where it is that I exactly belong
Suddenly, I have become newly aware of choices of possibility
Finding in this moment the mustard seed of God's divinity
