What’s the difference between a kid at play and an artist lost in art? Give up? Maybe me too….
Kid Lost In Story by Michael Romani Hand sketched And mentally stretched The artist knows her caper Put down as it on paper A kid lost in her story Lost in playground of glory Sculptures of fantasy Adrenaline in ecstasy Building blocks Played on the rocks This is how children learn In an oceanic energy burn Too much of the world preconstructed In ways imposing rules instructed Restrictive and a bit of percussion Hellbent toward creativity's destruction It can't be understood Any other way It's just no good To get in our way Part and pieces fit together Never worse, always better When we let these things flow And this, my child, is how we grow It's okay to do it all wrong It's how we find where we belong There in those awkward moments That make us smile at all that's meant (c) January 22, 2020 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
