Thought For the Day: We Are Too Great A Nation To Limit Ourselves To Small Dreams

“We are too great a nation to limit ourselves to small dreams. We are not, as some would have us believe, doomed to an inevitable decline. I do not believe in a fate that will fall on us no matter what we do. I do believe in a fate that will fall on us if we do nothing.” – Ronald Reagan

We hear all the time that if it’s going to be it’s up to us.  We hear all the time that we are the people who we have waited for.  I believe this to be true.   There have been moments in my life when I felt very strongly that someone ought to do something.  I waited.  No one did.  So, I did.  Not that I”m awesome.  I’m not.  But what I am is proof that if each of us no matter our flaws takes that vital step forward, each of us can help make this world a truly better place.  Let’s do this! Let’s believe in each of us.  Let’s believe that we don’t have to wait for the sky to fall and that by not waiting, we take the steps, however tiny initially to work toward the good and push away the things we do not want and cannot accept.  We can and will do it. We just need to believe and do it.  Together is better… but even one by one there is great power.
