Spending time with my girls was an awesome experience as always.
Moments Spent by Michael Romani Spending time with these two All of our moments are too few Dreams shaping in their minds Gifts of smiles of which I've been blind Watching my daughters grow Gives this father a happy glow Though I've been kept away Our reuniting has made this Valentine's Day One of a very special sort and kind All of me I thought left so far behind Comes out in all they do and say I see this even in the ways they play Moments spent with them are my home Times apart, cleave me to my bones Finding that they are the best of my heart And that I lose a bit of my soul when they depart Every moment spent in its connection A flow of love spun in each direction There in all of their beautiful smiles Are all the reasons, I survive despite the miles All the obstacles and all of the troubles Put in the way of our love could even redouble And it would still not kill our special love It's as if it remains guided from the above Suddenly brought from thought into my present As my eldest takes my hand and my tears relent I smile into her crystal blue eyes in all their glory Knowing she like me will come to write her own story I hug my youngest girl close as I can to me And I know as I look at her all her endless possibility In each of them I see a bit of my very best I take pride in their noble spirits that will not rest (c) February 18, 2020 Michael Romani All Rights Reserved
