Alchemy of Words

Words are such powerful things – especially when you’re not finding the right ones…

Alchemy of Words
by Michael Romani

Standing just before the threshold
Hand to heart then hand to ground
At peace as each journey unfolds
I reverently embrace all truth found

All of the ideas collided into
All of the respective points of view
Brings the voyager new information
Transformative in its felt vibration

It is visceral in it transparency
How words change lives with their energy
Sometimes just in the difference of feeling
Over the spun reality often double dealing

As we reach for that which is real
Over that sold as real but is surreal
Orwellian double speak spoken with hesitancy
That seeks to confuse our experience with its alchemy

I, for one, find reliance on my senses
Has often been more fruitful than the pretenses
Of things meaning what they don't mean
And seeing the emperor's clothing for what is seen

All of my best connections strained on a golden chord
These are too often dangling under Damocles' sword
Of words that pierce with their pulsating light
Striking my core with thoughts sometimes too bright

As to almost blind my eyes with their truth
Filled with ideas that have resonated since my youth
Passing through the many paths of wisdom's gateways
Constantly unwrapping to be lived throughout my days
