First Principles: They Define A Republic To Be A Government of Laws and Not of Men

“They define a republic to be a government of laws, and not of men.” – John Adams, in Novanglus No. 7 (March 6, 1775)

Consider this a hugely needed public service announcement.  We should never allow America to become a mob ruled democracy.  I am ashamed of every so called American leader who refers to the US as a democracy or says we who have fought for America fight for ‘democracy’.  We are a republic.  It’s set forward in our Constitution.   As set out above, it’s clear to see the difference for all but the willfully blind or those clearly ignorant of the very fabric of our nation.
