Checking My To-Dos

A little something that was kind of fun to come up with on my guitar:

Cherish Melody

Checking My To-Dos
by Michael Doyle

Checking my to-dos
Off of my list
Brushing by your lips
That needed kissed

Baby, don't you cry
We're all dogs sometimes
Baby, don't ask why
A taste of rum-rickey lime

Squeezed into that dress
Girl, you know, I confess
You're making me a mess
Can I get a witness

Checking my to-dos
Off of my list
Brushing by your lips
That needed kissed

Shake me up
And pull me in
Drinking from your cup
Chase it back, yet again

When I shut my eyes
I trace your face
Spread thin with your sighs
Yours is my warm embrace

Checking my to-dos
Off of my list
Brushing by your lips
That needed kissed
