Though it ultimately comes down to faith, belief is also about evidence and applying logic to this evidence.
Logical Pursuit by Michael Doyle Saying no over and over and then again Is the path of righteousness that we walk The path chosen is not perfection from sin But that habitually we choose to follow our talk This then is our new path of integrity Declining to walk in the darkness But walking instead in light and purity Not sinless but sinning less despite life's harshness The Lord has taken our place in death Giving us new life in which to live And it's meant to be lived in holiness to our least breath Living in love and in all things to forgive The newness of life begins at the cross With our Lord we too are crucified In this, we gain; it is not our loss In His name, we have become sanctified Never mind the excuses of authenticity In letting that get in the way of transformation Regardless of the seeming enormity Let's God's plan serve as your explanation Saved as we are from our immorality We owe a debt given in gratitude This path of holiness walks us past fatality Giving to each of us the best sort of attitude Each of us comes to the world as a work in progress Hardened hearts given way to ones of love In that fallibility to which we must confess We earnestly seek our way into Heaven above Knowing full well that sin will reign when it can And knowing deeper, we are less under law than grace Its the same for us all; every woman and man Let our Holy God's will be what we embrace Decisions are simpler with priorities clear We know what it is that we need And whose ways to cling to; keeping these near It's the ways of God taken to seed Repentance paves the way to restoration As the Holy Spirit fingers our conviction We work our way from milk to spiritual maturation May our prayers be that our walk gives this indication (c) July 27, 2020 Michael Doyle All Rights Reserved
