Although it was a stormy sort of rain filled day, I took the girls to see the buffalo preserve up in Freemont, Indiana. It was worth every mile driven to see their amazement and to share this with them. Once was a time, when Indiana was filled with buffalos and the dreams these bring.
Now, as my girls lay tucked into bed and heading toward their own dreams, I feel the love that shines from 5 hours in our SUV holding conversations and sharing songs and know that there is nothing in the world that compares to watching my little girls grow into the young ladies they are and the persons that they are becoming.
People ask if I regret having moved to Indiana from my prior life. Not a chance do I regret this gift from God. Despite differing perceptions, I am loving every minute that I get learning and knowing their perceptions, thoughts, aspirations, likes and dislikes.
There’s not been a moment since before even I helped deliver them into this world that I have not been in total awe of my little ladies. Love is being a daddy to two brilliantly beautiful beings who radiate their own gifts into this world and knowing that I am allowed the privilege to love them dearly each day extra that I get in this world.
