Na/GloPoWriMo #28: Posing A Serious Question
by Michael Doyle

Looking at the increased polarization
Noted as widespread across this nation
There is a serious question to be asked
One for which thinkers are now tasked
What will it take in education
To return civility to our nation?
Listening to all with great deliberation
Can we please join in this conversation
Violent tempers bleed away our liberty
This much is no great mystery
Every day lives have become turmoil
With each citizen questioning who is loyal
Modeled at best as virtuous engagement
Let us stop the hate and turn to right government
Please let’s acknowledge no one’s ill intent
And work toward creating justice as more content
How do we move past this general mistake
And bring healing to this heartbreak?
