Another Whispered Truth About Love

Listen very closely
Closely to me as I say this
Our love is our strength
It is not our weakness

It's a not so hidden
Sacred kind of truth
Held openly with hope
Burning from our youth

Though life often teaches us
How difficult times can be
This truth often reaches us
As we amble through hesitancy

Trying to find our way
Through the storms of darkness
That too often cloud our day
Love's grace will ease the harshness

That too often binds us
To the fears that hold us back
As each tear reminds us
It is only love that gives us what we lack
