How Many Wrong Turns

Lawst Paradise - The Spin of A Well Spun Web
How Many Wrong Turns
by Michael Doyle

How many wrong turns
Can we believers take
Before each of us learns
The truth beyond our heartbreaks

That God's word can stabilize
When all around us starts to crumble
Until, that is, we realize
The necessity of keeping humble

In this nation, our oneness is lost
And the calamities spill out at length
As we continue to suffer uncertain costs
The conflict and distrust has sapped our strength

It causes us to cry out for the wisdom
That only the scriptures can truly bring
As we set our eyes on His holy kingdom
And lift our voices up high to sing

What then what can the righteous do
Staring at the tatters of our foundation
But to remember God's words and our traditions
As the Lord walks every step with me and you
