Six String Guillotine
by Michael Doyle
It was a six string
Guillotine
Summer scene
Kind of a dream
Rolling through the night
The pompadour
Who held the door
That no one could ignore
Set the flames licking the Troubador
And said it would be alright
Struck by the thunder
Being pulled under
By a solid wall of sound
Until we chased it around
Rocking into that night
People stopped to stare
There was music everywhere
Coming down loudly
As we beat it together proudly
Our fists pumping in the air
It was a six string
Guillotine
Summer Scene
Kind of a dream
Rocking through the night
