Do Not Be Troubled
by Michael Doyle
Do not be troubled by the struggle
Or the times we falter and we bungle
Difficulties have come and they will go
Such is the path of life's ebb and flo
Unsettled fates make for troubled hearts
The sense of courage too often departs
As we live through a troubled century
And too many give way to false prophecy
Stand with me against life's storms
Waking calmness against the seeming norm
From the heavens, stars will not fall
Set there as signs of glory that we recall
Cosmic languages held in revelation
As political leaders fail our nation
Until the second coming somehow arrives
Let it be that our faithfulness survives
Don't get lost in what ease of discouragement
Times like these need our deep encouragement
The coming toll of hours in their illustration
Reckon hard against all of life's frustrations
