There’s Maybe Nothing Better

Dreamz Express - Train Under Northern Lights
There's Maybe Nothing Better
by Michael Doyle

There is maybe nothing
That could be any better
However bright or gloomy
The day has turned the weather

Than spending this Sunday afternoon
Watching dreams with my daughters
Hearts overflowing with joy soon
Watching Rudolph with their father

There's nothing like a yesterday
Memory to pull us on through
Except all of our tomorrows
Waiting for dreams to come true

Learning that in a loving world
There is room enough for others to fit
And that no one really
Truly is born to be a misfit

Each person has a place
To feel love and not be lost in fear
Where friends openly embrace
For Christmas and the rest of the year

We learn to be together
Accepting the differences for their good
We can have a world that is better
And as good as it ever could be understood

Why should there ever be a place to hide
Like and island for so called misfit toys
Yet there is one more lesson to confide
That love rules the hearts of girls and boys

As you grow up, you cannot outrun
The troubles that will follow you
But that's okay as each is as if one
Together; allowing every heart to be true
