Under the Potter’s Hands

The Plain of Jars - Shrouded Memories
Under the Potter's Hands
by Michael Doyle

Under the potter's hands
He forms the clay
We talk, He understands
We live yet another day

In our time, we fold hands
Across the world, in many lands
Talking to God quietly
Rescued from myself politely

God in His purpose and mercy
Corrects our daily history
Amazed in the grace given
Living the love of the forgiven

We stand together sharing our burdens
Knowing the love, however we are hurting
Checking our own hearts to ensure we're right
Marking of our own lives, the best of light

Keeping in our hearts the essence of the law
Of the Lord above as guidance for us all
These are the words that lead to wisdom
And are the keys to our Father's Kingdom
