Planting Churches
by Michael Doyle
As we look around on these troubled days
We're living through chaos
In a million different ways
We're wishing for the innocence
We once knew in times before
When godly people lived as in in His presence
Now it seems life moves in wrong directions
More questions than answers now flourish
We need to reach out and make reconnection
We're finding ourselves looking with anxious eyes
Wondering how we can make this life happen
As we eagerly do what we can to revitalize
Planting churches where others have died
Puzzled by their deaths
Doing what we can to ensure this generation is survived
It is as though we somehow manage to forget
That there have been trials that have come before
Which is not to say that our concerns are not legit
But is to say that all works according to God's plan
The Great Commission remains to be fulfilled
It is just a matter of faith and doing what we can
I heard the minister say he believes we're at our end
And said a silent prayer that his heart be less troubled
There is faith of a mustard seed yet left to lend
Souls to convert and hearts to be made whole
We cannot let ill omens lead the way
Instead we must prepare for the loving conversion of souls
