I’d Rather Be Ashes Than Dust

London 1940 the Blitz - Shaded Victory
I'd Rather Be Ashes Than Dust
by Michael Doyle

I'd rather be ashes than dust
I'd rather throw deep when I must
Taking the risks to succeed
This is the satisfaction of spiritual need

Faithful in all that we do
Ready in capturing God in our view
Unafraid to fight for this in priority
This then is the securing of our legacy

Standing strong in our connection
Unafraid of our world's rejection
Step by step we're making our connection
Spreading the Gospel in every direction

It may be that we're living in the end days
It will be too late to put on Godly ways
People get ready, the change is coming
Not to be an incessant preacher drumming

Putting Jesus before all other things
Regardless of whatever tomorrow brings
Living life for the Lord's glory
Each of us a part of his blessed story
