A Dance of Fate

Chess Wonderland - Spun Out
A Dance of Fate
by Michael Doyle

Life is more than merely fate
It is never really too late
To realize that we have choices
Lifted up in our true voices

If only we might choose
No longer allowing life to abuse
Examining what we might refuse
And refusing to allow blindness to confuse

Subtle are the decisions we might make
In choosing which of paths to take
Never placing fault or cursing blame
But instead choosing how we might frame

These things that happen as circumstance
From rushing forward as if in happenstance
Leaving as little as possible to chance
While giving the past a mere glance

Over the shoulder as taken on this ride
Where it is that destinies do collide
Troubled less as if oceans churned
In their fullest depths yet to be discerned
