Moonkyst and the Twisted Fae
by Michael Doyle
In the early morning mist
We dream our dreams moonkyst
it's a fantasy, some might say
But it gets us through another day
Some dance the dance of twisted fae
While the music plays; they sway
As if it might bring back yesterday
True or not, it's better this way
To believe in things for the best
While heads lay on pillow to rest
Believing can make it all come true
When seen through the eyes of whimsical view
It doesn't hurt a soul to dream
Or to play out life like it's a silver screen
Moonkyst moments know their reverie
Where memories become the last fantasy
And if this somehow brings a smile
Isn't that, after all, worth the while
To remember back to childhood days
When reality mattered less than the games to play
