To Catch A Falling Star

A Christmas Wish - Polar Expressions of Love
To Catch A Falling Star
by Michael Doyle

Sometimes I feel
This is not my world
I find myself searching
Looking for the door

That will lead me away
From this wrong world
And to a place I belong
From the ashes of yesterday

I feel as if I must flee
Though I don't know just where
It is that I might run
I seek my escape from the damage done

In a determination to escape
From the pain and the suffering
But then I remember
Those that I cannot leave behind

I'll fade into the sunset
Blazing traces into the night
Counting stars like endless blessings
Until they rain down from the skies

How do you catch a falling star?
I truly want to know
And what would I do if I caught one?
Will I ever know?
