Protect us from harm

Seemingly in coincidence
Have their illustrious charms

Every step taken
To shake the forsaken
To hunt or to be hunted
Head on the swivel; fear blunted

To move beyond first base
A destiny to embrace
Caught in a game of flow
Moving past the undertow

Beyond the commentaries
Are the words that must be heard

Death hides in cemeteries 
When good and evil are blurred

There are ashes churning
In these lessons we're learning
The turns are coming fast
That move beyond the past

Lost religion has its taste
Lives of worth turned to waste
I'm still looking through the lies
Hunter turns to hunted; no surprise

Leading with a smile
As the thoughts defile
Betrayed with a kiss
What was left to miss?
