First Principles: Before A Standing Army Can Rule, the People Must Be Disarmed; As They Are In Almost Every Kingdom of Europe

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe.” – Noah Webster (1787)

When someone tells you that the right to bear arms exists for target practice and hunting, tell them you know better. When someone tells you that the second amendment is outdated, remind them of the hostile takeover in Hong Kong (disarmed) versus Ukraine’s standing up its populace versus this Russian invasion. Maybe they’ll see the light? If not remind them of World War II and what happened then.
