A Twist of Darkness

Rivendell -Willow Pavilion
A Twist of Darkness
by Michael Doyle

A twist of darkness enters Elven leaves
As evil descends beyond edged beliefs
Seeping into the crevices of life
Receding with peace gradually into strife

It is that begins the origin of the rings
Deemed upon us as all dreamers eagerly cling
Hoping for a tale of Hobbits to unfold
The kind of a story that must be forever told

Learning the secrets of childhood's dreams
Mythic images spring forth on the ink of scenes
Mid-Earth's sage begins the saga once again
This time told from the source where all stories begin

Scribbled notes that were never meant to be seen
Scrawled from the flowing pen of a mortal human being
A tale once read in my childhood and now shared
With the blood of my blood,...
The daughters delivered with care
