Let the Party Begin
by Michael Doyle
Don't let your emotions
Cloud your best judgment
Keeping faith in your devotion
Despite the world's begrudgement
Failures never help one's attitude
Still it's best to keep in gratitude
For all the good that has come before
Brings a feeling we cannot ignore
Let the party begin
Well picked, we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again
Drink up to the days of sorrow
That we know may yet come tomorrow
Even the acting of being nice
Nearly always comes with price
Dealing with the pool of emotion
That makes up the human commotion
It is the substance that makes our days
Confusing as it is, confusing in our ways
Let the party begin
Well picked, we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again
Like the babbling of a brook
You spoke with just a look
Touching me deep inside
Somewhere behind my wall of pride
You being the princess who fits the crown
Unleashed, you turned my frown upside down
And I couldn't be happier with the surprise
Of your laughter and the smile in your eyes
Let the party being
Well picked we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again
