Before the Ever

Before the ever of never
That thought itself clever
Is the cosmic perspective
That proclaimed itself reflective

A messenger from the stars
High above the skyscrapers and cars
It not to be too irreverent
To say that the world looks different

Now that we too have seen
It's become time for all human beings
To being our urgent redefinition
Into a world of one tribe, not just nations

No longer are we in Paleolithic isolation
As we look down in our fascination
A new quiet reveals past the confusion
And an greater truth reveals the former an illusion
