First Kiss
by Michael Doyle
Remembering back on the magic
Found waiting for the first kiss
That led to heartbreak, something tragic
But that moment felt like bliss
That moment, for the moment, felt like bliss
Thing back on the magic
Found in waiting for the first touch
That led to heartbreak, something tragic
In that moment, it felt like bliss
That moment, for the moment, felt like bliss
Grasping toward a handle on happiness
A walk away from the veil of sadness
To reach toward not feeling so alone
Finding my heart wasn't made of stone
Surprised as I was in the feeling
That spun my head around reeling
There was a cherry taste of of lips
And the thrill of my hands on her hips
We were charged by the thrilling bit of flair
As her scent wafted through the night's air
The moment was over as quickly as it was begun
A seal of our lips and it was then done
