It is not the cross that should signify this day, not nearly so much as the empty tomb found when the stone was rolled away. The cross brought death. But it led the victory of the risen Christ who does give each of us our salvation if we pick up our own crosses and accept the grace provided by the living waters of the Word. Salvation is freely given to all of us sinners, rich and poor, whatever the color, career, or station in life we are found in. May this be a happy and blessed Resurrection Day for all who find their trust and belief in Jesus Christ!
