For Angels Fallen

When I met you
I found a new dream
It's the only one that will do
To make me a better human being

I kept looking for your wings
Certain that you had fallen
From heaven from the joys you bring
The gleam from your halo was calling

Now I dream of growing old
Along the side of you
This is the simple truth told
One of the greatest of the few

I dream of spending every day
Made more beautiful by you
And at night, I quietly pray
That you really love me too

I'll be here to catch your love
When you dare to take that fall
Like my angel from above
I'll be here to cherish your all

I'll spend my life with you
With more love lived with each day
Passing with love forever true
This is the blessing that I pray

In the end I hope that it's your eyes
That I look up into as I quietly fade
Having known truth sweeter than lies
And remember all the memories we've made
