A Father’s Fight

Seoraksan - Auspicious Movement
A Father's Fight
by Michael Doyle

I may be stupid
But I'm never dumb
I might even be
Smarter than some

There are times I'm afraid
And other times, brave
To Hell with the plans they've made
It's my America that I fight to save

I am part of the resistance
One of that class
From trees, I've learned persistence
While I've learned patience from grass

I've always fought for liberty
And sweet freedom from hill to hill
Let's stand intact with integrity
Letting it be known that we always will

It's a father's fight for justice and truth
Life long fought since the days of my youth
The fight for this nation's lasting fate
The love of righteousness makes America great
