Worthy of My Praise

Worthy of My Praise
by Michael Doyle

I open my eyes with authority,
Thankful for the Lord's deity.
This will be one of the joyous days
That is worthy of praise.

Protected by Heaven's angels near,
I find no reason to fear.
Whatever Satan might bring,
I lift my voice to sing.

This is the day my Lord has made.
Whatever comes, I am not afraid.
I lift my head to face my trials
With a heart of hope, building smiles.

Here comes my Lord in His majesty,
Merciful with His full authority.
He's in control of the time I'll live,
I accept with humility what He gives.

With my lips full of His praise,
I joyfully live my days.
I am thankful for what comes my way,
And sing His praises every day.
