“Real love is the love that sometimes arises after sensual pleasure: if it does, it is immortal; the other kind inevitably goes stale, for it lies in mere fantasy.” – Giacomo Casanova
My apologies for missing a day. I entered the emergency room at 2 am on June 2nd, had a swift but short fight for my life, and won. A severe UTI out of seemingly nowhere. When I follow up at the urologist soon, maybe we’ll get some answers and a path to healing that will preclude this from ever happening again. I don’t think I’ll have the energy to write a poem today. After getting my medicine and eating dinner, I laid down for a 15 minute nap and only just woke up hours later. Please forgive my laziness. It’s not intentional.
