Hoofs are necessary for grasslands, Doing their part as the Lord demands. Elephants know the weight of memory, And all of this reminds us that we are family.
Mankind must act in full concert To help all who have been hurt. Here across the African shadow, There is more to learn than we will know.
War has left its dirty scars, And the world below gasps at the stars. The decline is found in lost soil fertility Having ignorantly lost its quest for utility.
A utility that didn't work as said. It was a mistake that left the land dead. This required a needed redirection, And a decision to accept nature's correction.
As water became conserved and lessons learned, Along the way, much was then discerned. With this, the plants that feed have returned And quietly, God's good response has been earned.
It's a mosaic that brings the land to life. The great green wall knows its own strife. Step by step, we will yet heal this arid land. We will return life to Africa's killing sand.

Heading out of Australia to escape this Aussie winter. First stop Japan, then UK/Ireland and if work doesn't call me back, onto Chicago. I will make it up as I go along
