Essentially, a hero is someone ordinary Who is given the chance to be extraordinary. Through whatever set of events or circumstance, He or she has been given this dynamic chance.
It's about rising up to the opportunity And meeting whatever opposition with capability. Through whatever needed means that have arisen The hero answers the call that has been given.
It's mostly about the choice not to fear, To give the fight your best and persevere. Heroes take their chunk of the universe And read its villains chapter and verse.
Staring death in its cold, bitter eyes, Unflinching as if refusing to even recognize The possibility of facing tomorrow dead. This is not the thought for a hero's head.
It is only to push forward in the fight, The best of our heroes possess the light. Joined against adversaries as the best. Each who is a hero is ready for this test.
I once thought this might describe me. But my life has passed with the possibility. I am as most men, just a man doing my best. As for anything more, God has done the rest.

Heading out of Australia to escape this Aussie winter. First stop Japan, then UK/Ireland and if work doesn't call me back, onto Chicago. I will make it up as I go along
