Resurrected Life

Resurrected Life
by Michael Doyle

Gratitude flows from the inside.
This is the resurrected life that I can't hide.
The Word of God fuels the fire
Giving all of us our holy desires.

To do what pleases God within our dreams -
The story of Joseph exemplifies things to seem
As if God's intention overrides evil for good.
We live our lives as if this is what's understood.

Loving life as it grows into the overflow,
The Holy Spirit gives the wishes we need to know.
We love our lives as we forge our identity,
And live these moments in their fullest dignity.

Jealousy can sometimes come between,
And it takes fortitude to keep living the dream.
God's love brings our best and noblest elevation
As we serve at God's utmost inspiration.

Jesus, Himself, cannot be fit inside of a box.
He cannot be restrained by any system of locks.
In a day filled with 24 holy seconds into hours,
We gain our victory through His holy powers.

As Joseph fulfilled his holy calling,
He was not canceled by the darkest angels falling.
We are to give our best, however that best might be small
Filling the Kingdom's needs, we stand 10 feet tall.

Words are prophetic in their sacred keeping,
Be it in our joy or in our heartfelt weeping.
Our days are numbered by what we say,
And our continuity only lives day-by-day.

Seeking God's kingdom, we find
The love of God never leaves us behind.
Living the dream is different than the dream.
All the pain is sustained, however it might seem.

Life's circumstances must be lived under God's control.
It leads to the healing and magnification of our souls.
When we fail to manifest what passes for our brilliance,
How we survive is the tell of our lasting resilience.

It is in the painful seasons that we realize
The fullness of our identity in God's holy eyes.
God's patience builds our strength in His latitude
And for this, like Joseph's trials, God is owed our gratitude.
