Far Enough

Did you go far enough to see
The ends of your possibility?
Did you bring your best to be
Far enough to test reality?

Because until you have this done,
The world at its best has really won.
And you don't know your best, 
Because you didn't even put it to the test.

You could be the winner in the front row.
Instead, you've settled for the shadow.
It's not in the spirit of instigation
When I tell you it takes some inspiration.

But I know that with patience and preparation
It is you that will set your destination.
And if you let others tell you where to go,
Where you might have been, you'll never know.

When you dream, it is a voyage that won't end.
The realness of you inside beats the fear of pretend.
You never know what you might reveal to be real
When you work for your success instead of accepting a deal.

The secret comes to no deeper complexity
Than to keep to the rules of simplicity.
Success comes less from taking a cheap thrill,
Than it does flexing an indomitable will.

The future belongs to those who love their dream
And aspire to be more than the average human being.
It's a thing of utmost beauty to take a certain aim
And with deliberation become masters of the game.
