“Remember something, if you will, about voting: Voting is not a horse race, you’re not going there thinking “Gee, I gotta pick the winner so I can brag to my friends ‘Oh, I picked so-and-so and he or she won'”. Voting is voting your heart and voting your conscience and when you’ve done that, don’t ever, EVER let a Democrat or Republican tell you that you’ve wasted your vote because the fact is, if you DON’T vote your heart and conscience then you HAVE wasted your vote.’ – Jesse Ventura
There was a great deal of expectancy In Zeppelin, coming to America urgently. All were ready to see what they'd bring. But only Vanilla Fudge took them under their wing.
Perhaps there was a feeling of insurgency As John Bonham and Carmine Appice exchanged energy. Off they went to play what they played best Until the day they played to crack the Fillmore West.
There was no communication breakdown on that track, And as for London, it would be a long time back. Bashing down the soundstage doors like wildfire, Their amazing music left the fans filled with desire.
The crowds showed love for each player in the band. They kept on rocking, rolling east across the land. Side A was backed by the album's other Side B. There's nothing like the sweet sounds of victory.
It's not too much to call it overwhelming anticipation, The way Led Zeppelin captured the heart of this nation. Lauded as a supergroup with Page as the only known star, But then again, who could argue when he played guitar?
The rhythm section and he, paired with Plant's voice - They were obvious contenders for the people's choice. This settled any question about the band's arrival. The only question left was the boys' survival.

“We must not forget that it wasn’t the Jews that put him on the cross, and it wasn’t the Romans. It was my sins, it was your sins, the sins of this world.” – Franklin Graham
“On Monday the great question of independency and total separation from all political intercourse with Great Britain will come on. It will be carried, I expect, by a great majority, and then, I suppose we shall take upon us a new name.” – Joseph Hewes
With a direct look filled with woe, Life is disturbing the status quo. A shotgun wedding points the way, Niagara Falls charges the path that stays.
Pennies have been thrown away As if only a ghost from yesterday. Champagne and oysters fed our lines. These showed we loved as Valentines.
The monsters are a cut down the page, Filled with angst and moments of rage. It's a killing time when we try to breathe. It's in the insinuations of life that we deceive.
Deceiving ourselves and others through the pain, It's nobody's fault that we're all insane. Nobody knows why life happens to us all. If there's an actual reason, we don't recall.
Life and love are for the birds who have flown. It all fades into the lesser great unknown. Life is like murder, she once wrote, We are the fire starters that won't devote.

“God forbid that the day should ever come when, in the American mind, the thought of man as a consumer shall submerge the old American thought of man as a creature of God, endowed with unalienable rights.” – Benjamin Harrison
Then said the Lord, And the Prophet Elijah led, Always moving Israel forward, Sometimes hopeful and others dread.
Still, in God's promises made, We shall rejoice, being unafraid. The holy covenants call to God's way. We reflect on this in how we pray.
Speaking to God can lead to intercession. Our inheritance was recalled in succession. As the Prophets spoke to save us all, Led by the Prophets who heed the Lord's call.
Speaking in tongues is a gift given for edification. These words must be checked through verification. But we now have Emmanuel's open revelations And must be wary of any other explanations.
Life's caves can drag our lives deep. There are times when all we can do is weep. To pull ourselves up is to stay in prayer, For we know that our Lord is always there.
The Lord is our God to follow. False gods are untruthful and shallow. Ours is an awakened God full of power. He is present through our every hour.
His is the Word over our sacred land. We can best live by His holy commands. We witness this in noticing the difference, Especially when we hold God in reverence.
In our memories of God, we find our breath. In His embrace, there is life, and not death. God's gentle whisper speaks to us within our caves Telling us the needed truth that will save.
God is with us in all of our days, On the highest mountain to where the valley lays. Our caves of anxiety and depression, Can never be greater than our God's expression.
God cares for the troubles we go through. He speaks with love in all that we do. In God, we will find His loving care. We speak to Him through living prayer.
God speaks to us gently As a caring father to His family. Learning to be still takes away distractions. Silence brings God to our hearts' inhibitions.
In His gentleness, His patience is love. When we are troubled, God brings Heaven from above. God's work in us takes a life of slow all His own. It's there in His patience, we learn to know and grow.
While we are seeking a full victory Sometimes the best of this comes from clarity. The Living God is not simply flighty talk, The Word of God walks with us in our righteous walk.

“Fear prophets and those prepared to die for the truth, for as a rule they make many others die with them, often before them, at times instead of them.”– Umberto Eco
Heading out of Australia to escape this Aussie winter. First stop Japan, then UK/Ireland and if work doesn't call me back, onto Chicago. I will make it up as I go along
