Mickey Said To Minnie

Mickey Mouse and Minnie - Romantic Dinner

Mickey Said To Minnie
By Michael Doyle

When the world fades right out of view
It’s the fate of how it is that I met you.
It wasn’t like I was wishing on a star
But there it is, and there you are

The words seem to have their own flow
As if it is that there is something to show
How a simple hello can make into a dream
Like a moment from the silver screen

How now, can you tell me,
I know it wouldn’t kill me
And I might even find a smile
By answering a beautiful misdial

And now it seems, I’d love to hear a voice
That is if it is ever mine to get the choice
To hear the laugh in your eyes
Miss Minnie, I might yet recognize

How it’s semi-kinda something sacred in place
A rhythm as it is in its own time and space
The gentle hello that blends its own kind of wonder
And maybe there’s a touch of grace in this thunder

Jumping from the shadows into the digital light
Some kind of spark that vibrates in my night
It seems that sometimes things just work as they should
Fitting right into place as if something good

How now, can you tell me,
I know it wouldn’t kill me
And I might even find a smile
By answering a beautiful misdial

And now it seems, I’d love to hear a voice
That is if it is ever mine to get the choice
To hear the laugh in your eyes
Miss Minnie, I might yet recognize

The Kindness of A Godly Mother

Spring ChicLand - A Man Observing A Dog Observing A Mother's Love
The Kindness of A Godly Mother
by Michael Doyle

Hold on to the wisdom found within the Word
Despite all the foolishness that has occurred
The Bible is replete with examples understood
Of women who were mothers, holy and good

Though often imperfect, that's not the goal
It's a life that is productive for the soul
In all these mothers, there are lessons to learn
Lessons good and holy, from which we discern

That God sees everything in all that we do
In turn, we should see in God all that is true
All the mothers of the Bible live in prayer
Knowing that faith and answers will be found there

In every story and every word, from the start
There is the wisdom of mothers to impart
A godly mother is a woman of the most excellent quality
Who lives for God and tends to her blessed family

All the habits of leaning in on God over the years
In all of her happiness and even in her tears
Depending on God becomes its own faithful reliance
To pray their way through each day's grace and assurance

Believing in God's every word in all its righteousness
Through discernment, she trusts in her life's blessedness
Keeping generosity given freely toward all others
The giving heart is found within every godly mother

Building up those persons who she lives around
With words of encouragement, often quite profound
In obedience to God, there is found recompense
That surpasses the worries of life and its consequence

A godly mother provides love in her atmosphere
Filled with the reflection of Jesus without fear
Being forgiving in nature releases life from stress
Having the right heart brings better truths to confess

Tenderhearted in all the promises that God has kept
A godly mother is filled with joy, even with tears wept
And persistent until what is needed is completely done
The accomplishments found were there even before begun

She sets the example of never allowing herself to quit
And lives a life of hope marked with very little regret
This is all that's needed to pass life's measured test
And to know that it's the way of living this life best

It goes without real need for any proffered explanation
That godly mothers deserve this day of deep appreciation
When we realize they've lived life with a serving spirit
However hard it is for some to take heed and hear it

This is embodied in how a mother serves her loved family
Through living an organized life that is kept as holy
In loving this life, it serves to teach the next generation
That it is best to keep holiness held with veneration

Though there will be times that come with discouragement
The godly mother practices the ways of encouragement
And though there are times that require their needed rest
It is the can-do attitude that gains life's best

It is holy to love one another unconditionally
And a godly mother does this thing for her family
Living life to fully love and to gracefully forgive
It's the touch of the mother that teaches us to live

Happiest of Mother’s Days 2023

Other than the holy trinity itself, there is noting more sacred than motherhood. It can truly and easily be said that without motherhood there would nothing else living. Mothers deserve this special day of recognition for all that they do every, day. It’s not a matter of perfection. All fall short of that but one who walked among us and was crucified for His having done so. It is indeed a matter of habits that encourage a lifetime for all among us, especially their children. Today is a day set aside to show our appreciation for the mothers among us. Please do so where and when you have the chance. Happy Mother’s Day 2023!

First Principles: If Men Were Angels, No Government Would Be Necessary

“If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.” – James Madison, Federalist No. 51

Thought For the Day: Birthing Persons Don’t Exist. Mothers do…They Are Sacred

“Birthing persons don’t exist. Mothers do. Yes, mothers give birth, and in so doing they give life. They are sacred. The ability to give life elevates women over men.” – Shawn Carney

Remember Mother’s Day is tomorrow! Give that person who brought you into this world a hug, flowers, some reason to smile. Motherhood is sacred. It cannot be politicized into nonexistence by those who strive for “inclusivity” by ignoring biological reality and thereby EXCLUDING the mothers who brought them too into this world of ours.

The History That I’m Still Living

A Weekend With the Girls 0829-302020
The History That I'm Still Living
by Michael Doyle

When the winds of change blew through
The march of history became more true
There really wasn't much to say
By those who outgrew their shackles of yesterday

The Wild West became the Wild East
As crime and corruption became another beast
Some still dreamed of restored empire
And invaded their neighbors as if to conspire

With those in the West who did persist
In believing utopian dreams of the Socialists
And failed to see the past, ignoring the history
Of how all such dreams became nothing but tyranny

And that even the Fabians became capitalist
When given the chance to successfully resist
Mankind is meant for freedom and liberty
Not cracked ideals and self-chosen slavery

We'll be kept in cages only so long
Before the stubborn facts show, as these belong
The evidence demands a verdict favoring liberty
As long as some are brave and hold out for dignity

There is only so long that even fools dance to lies
We are only so blind as to fall for false alibis
As we drink to the memories of yesterday
And watch as a few try to throw away

All that our forefathers have died for
All of the causes of freedom, we cannot ignore
Until we, the determined and persistent few
Fight the good fight for what is right and true
