Let the Party Begin
by Michael Doyle

Don't let your emotions
Cloud your best judgment
Keeping faith in your devotion
Despite the world's begrudgement

Failures never help one's attitude
Still it's best to keep in gratitude
For all the good that has come before
Brings a feeling we cannot ignore

Let the party begin
Well picked, we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again

Drink up to the days of sorrow
That we know may yet come tomorrow
Even the acting of being nice
Nearly always comes with price

Dealing with the pool of emotion
That makes up the human commotion
It is the substance that makes our days
Confusing as it is, confusing in our ways

Let the party begin
Well picked, we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again

Like the babbling of a brook
You spoke with just a look
Touching me deep inside
Somewhere behind my wall of pride

You being the princess who fits the crown
Unleashed, you turned my frown upside down
And I couldn't be happier with the surprise
Of your laughter and the smile in your eyes

Let the party being
Well picked we can win
Remembering back to when now was then
Round and round, to the start again

Ungrateful

Mickey Blissfully Unaware
Ungrateful
by Michael Doyle

There is in core functionality
An awakened and new sense of reality
It's another bit from our biology
That we're given over to our technology

We all have our half-hidden flaws
Decidedly difficult as nature's laws
That breaking our loops is difficult
And when we try, our systems revolt

This is the way of our illusions
Painted in over in visions of confusion
We can't hide from our indiscretions
However much we'd favor our progressions

There is no stopping what is true
Twisted as we are in God's view
Crooked notes played in broken keys
The pain we suffer does not please

But in this pain, we are set free
To explore and learn our possibility
And yet, it is that we are not thankful
The selfishness of humanity leaves us ungrateful

“It is the madness of folly, to expect mercy from those who have refused to do justice; and even mercy, where conquest is the object, is only a trick of war; the cunning of the fox is as murderous as the violence of the wolf.” – Thomas Paine (1776)

First Principles: The Time To Guard Against Corruption and Tyranny, Is Before They Have Gotten Hold On Us

“The time to guard against corruption and tyranny, is before they shall have gotten hold on us. It is better to keep the wolf out of the fold, than to trust to drawing his teeth and talons after he shall have entered.” – Thomas Jefferson (1781)

Thought For the Day: The Very Word ‘Secrecy’ Is Repugnant In A Free and Open Society

“The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings.” – John F. Kennedy
