Falling In the Darkness

The Magic Factory 2022 - Weather Changing
Falling In the Darkness
by Michael Doyle

Whatever your belief
I do not mean you grief
Please don't be annoyed
When I explain about the void

That some see and believe
Because it is what they conceive
Between God and brother man
That confuses us when it can

Some react in their anger
Preferring God as a stranger
Instead of seeking reconciliation
They wall in their alienation

Shaking their fist in the defiance
That comes easier than reliance
And they do not realize the pain
That hides behind the words spoken in vain

Falling in the darkness of a whole
Blacker than any human's soul
We fade away into the setting sun
Knowing only that our path is done

...or is it?

Land Hold

Soul2Soul Highlands 2022 - Live For Today
Land Hold
by Michael Doyle

The land holds its history
The heart has its mystery
Held generations in a family
It's the passing of love steadily

From generation to generation
The way of society's inclination
As we simply pass it on
Resisting that it ever be torn

But kept instead like a garment worn
To keep our souls from being forlorn
Unchanged as in perhaps forever
Until someone lawyers up thinking self clever

To tear away this or that part
Most of us would just as soon sever our hearts
We hold on to our posterity
Thinking less about prosperity

Than to leave a stake-hold
On which the future will unfold
As family and land know continuation
On and on for future generations

We do this with degrees of affection
Showing our love kept in its perfection
Land and heart know their legacy
Held together as if something legendary

First Principles: The Magnitude of This Evil (Slavery) Among Us Is So Deeply Felt, and So Universally Acknowledged That No Merit Could Be Greater Than That of Devising A Satisfactory Remedy For It

“The magnitude of this evil [slavery] among us is so deeply felt, and so universally acknowledged; that no merit could be greater than that of devising a satisfactory remedy for it.”  – James Madison (1825), 4th President of the United States

James Madison is considered the Father of the Constitution of the United States. He was the fourth president and considered the best of those who kept notes during the constitutional convention. When some who are ignorant base their radicalness on the notion that the United States is systematically racist from its core they are devoid of any real historical basis in that as a whole the founders of this nation were opposed to slavery, but confounded as to how to rid the nation of this scourge which had actually been one of the grievances listed as it was the British who imposed this on its colonies. Perhaps this near universal hatred of slavery is why grifters like BLM and Antifa wish to toss away real history so that the truth is not laid bare?

First Principles: Happily For Mankind, Liberty Is Not…Confined To Any Single Point of Time, But Lies Within Extremes, Which Afford Sufficient Latitude For all the Variations

“Happily for mankind, liberty is not, in this respect, confined to any single point of time, but lies within extremes, which afford sufficient latitude for all the variations which may be required by the various situations and circumstances of civil society.” – James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 53, 1788

Thought For the Day: The Simple Step of A Courageous Individual Is Not To Take Part In the Lie. One Word of Truth Outweighs the World.

“The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world.” – Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008)

New Paths Shown

One more Light: Gatsby Hotel -Roadster for Two
New Paths Shown
by Michael Doyle

Working hard for changes that we need
The kernels of thought plant the seed
Artificial interface brings us to zero
Engineers solving for real play the heroes

Be it carbon free concrete or green steel
The same names bring a renewed feel
Out of the laboratory to the streets is understood
As the only real way to bring about needed good

The answers are found in economy of scale
To turn this around for humanity's new tale
We cannot rely on things that are dreams
Only on those that are as workable as steel beams

And concrete sturdy to build our better place
The kind needed that can support the human race
As the population continues in its needs and to grow
There are changes needed that we already know

We must bravely go where we've not been yet
Learning from yesterdays filled with some regret
But our better tomorrows will yet be known
By mapping out these new paths as these are shown
