“A people who would stand fast in their liberty, should furnish themselves with weapons proper for their defence, and learn the use of them. It is indeed an hard case, that those who are happy in the blessings of providence, and disposed to live peaceably with all men, should be obliged to keep up the idea of blood and slaughter, and expend their time and treasure to acquire the arts and instruments of death. But this is a necessity which the depravity of human nature has laid upon every state. Nor was there ever a people that continued, for any considerable time, in the enjoyment of liberty, who were not in a capacity to defend themselves against invaders, unless they were too poor and inconsiderable to tempt an enemy.”– Simeon Howard to the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company in Boston, June 7, 1773
I admire people who are unafraid to feel Who know the danger and yet keep it real It is scary to feel that compulsive something But it beats the feeling of nothing
As life hands us our challenging hand A fate that we are unable to command We take our moments just as these are Hoping to press the envelope a little far
In doing this, we begin to feel alive Having reached beyond the point we survive Into the things that perhaps mean the most Staring risk in the face like a familiar ghost
I speak honestly when I say that you make my day Something special and loving in every way And that your touch felt across a million miles Reaches into my soul with as many smiles
Not a day has passed by since we've met That I will forget or hope to ever regret There might just be something to destiny And if there is, I hope it finds you for me
Because in this time that we have been together You have brought back the feelings so much better And I know that your being brave and soul baring Leaves me feeling nothing but love and caring
Each day before I sleep I say a little prayer That as I wake in the morning you'll still be there Loving me, wanting me and being just who you are And then I look up and wish upon one bright star

“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.” – Ruth Bader Ginsburg
I strongly believe that President Trump should name a conservative, rule of law woman. Let’s see if he does. What’s really critical at this juncture is the justice be a firm believer in rule of law. But, the Supreme Court of Law in the United States more or less needs a female perspective.
“It must never be forgotten…that the liberties of the people are not so safe under the gracious manner of government as by the limitation of power.” – Richard Henry Lee
“I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.” – Thomas Paine (1776)
Voices arrayed together against an institution Out of control of the reining in by the Constitution Checks and balances swept away along with our rights Still, we ride forward like beleaguered knights
Stay at home orders meant for communicable urgency But not intended to create a permanent emergency Were put into place for health, safety and welfare This was not intended as a weapon of partisan warfare
We have handed off legislation to executive dictate And until we separate these powers, we've sealed our fate There must be balance made with needed deliberation Not a stripping away of our freedoms through machination
Casinos are allowed to open but churches are closed down It shows the strength of money's powerful crown Too many of our freedoms are being stripped away In an abuse of authority that must face the People some day
The pushback is coming absent true representation As technocrats and bureaucrats have seized our nation Enforcement issues are now an overdue conversation While the Federal Executive Branch follows the Constitution
It is the states, who in their overbearing policing power Have taken the laboring oar too strenuously in this hour As the virus lingers on regardless of rigors of natural law Which form the basis of reaction as we fail to recall
There are many question steeped in this philosophy As draconian regulation threatens to strangle our economy The reining in of these steps rests with legislature Such is the political landscape even in abeyance of nature
Of what it is that we do now currently embrace As we bring this about in order that we might face Not to be unfair or to appear the contrarian We might want to at least consider perspectives libertarian
The Courts have the power of able legal interpretation As the 14th Amendment makes the case for government's limitation We, the People, have the right to make our living And to this point, history is not and will not be forgiving
It hasn't been the case of missing needed decision To state that the emergency police powers have exceed irritation Each of these should be reviewed as best practices state Otherwise, we will permanently have lives lived by dictate
In the current crisis, we have been reduced to functionalism Surrendering rights and freedoms without true rationalism Effective and free governance is not the exercise of today Forcing good citizens to vocalize against this fray
The right to peacefully assemble is a protected right That is somehow being restrained by the virtue signaling blight The uglification of America comes with the wearing of mask Is this then liberty the price, we must each of us ask
Will this be the new normal, living our lost liberty? Will we now surrender our role in mankind's noblest history? Samuel Adams spoke against the wearing of chains for security And we know we are strong enough to withstand this adversity
Looking out across our beautiful and great nation We see a radically imposed desperate situation Looking back on the world's worse moments of history We know that the cost of silence is the loss of our liberty
There has been a suspension of the rule of law unending Standing aghast, I will no longer be quietly pretending It is the soul of our nation that is indeed at its jeopardy Whatever course others take, give me death or my liberty

Filled with intense moments of suspense Put aside as real and yet it's just pretense There is the much to do about all these things Musical, be it instrumental or songs I sing
I approach forward in my matriculation Looking at establishing motifs and articulation Single notes determined in attack and decay It's how sound changes and travels they say
Swelled up as it were in its amplitude Grounded in perhaps undeserved attitude I have no choice but to say with latitude That to all who came before, I owe my gratitude
The tone colors play well in their timbre Much as I feel deep inside as I remember All of these textures provided by chosen adjustment Sound to me as though these are heaven sent
Comparable to or similar to the oratory I find my articulation of voice quite exploratory Standards varied, conquered with flourish, hidden in composition To myself, I am true, even in my musical notations

“I hope that we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” – Thomas Jefferson
“And what we’ve done over the last 50 years, we’ve spent about $22 trillion in government money where 70 percent goes not to the poor, but to those who serve the poor. Blacks have been in office and conditions for low-income blacks have deteriorated every year after year.” – Robert Woodson
Heading out of Australia to escape this Aussie winter. First stop Japan, then UK/Ireland and if work doesn't call me back, onto Chicago. I will make it up as I go along
