Thankful In Collaboration

Thinking on art and design, a poem of gratitude for its immersive collaboration.  A poem in gratitude #21:

LEA1: Colors of Wu - Chaos Under Construction

Thankful In Collaboration
by Michael Romani

Designs of light
In abstraction
Just might
Be created in collaboration

Subtle changes
Create the color and mood
As light rearranges
And exudes

With a deep breath
From yellow to pink
Through the room's breadth
The colored changes link

Red creates relaxation
Blue makes you more awake
Each change in saturation
Causes a foundational remake

Every observer co-creates
The art around then initiates
All these sorts of feelings
That take your heart reeling

Thankful for it all
The wow of an ah-ha recall
Immersive in our spaces
Each of which our souls embrace

All that we might experience
Comes down to a matter of preference
Each step is one in given latitude
Each breath drawn is one of gratitude

First Principles: The Future of America Not On the Power of Government, but, On Governing Ourselves In Accordance to the Ten Commandments

“We have staked the whole future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments.” – James Madison

Gratitude For A Unified Field of Connection

A poem in the light of gratitude #20:

Visual Jazz Mandala of Cosmic Hope

Gratitude For A Unified Field of Connection
by Michael Romani

Increasingly one for less and less punctuality
While I search for gratitude as my reality
I find much of it has to do with right intention
And the rest of all there is has to do with connection

There isn't really a me without the you to observe
And though that might seem more confusing than you deserve
It's truly how it is as we seek to find our unity
Breaking it down to the smallest bits of known diversity

Always thankful in knowing that all that surrounds is God
And that, in any event, the God we know is the source of all
In the final analysis there is a bit of me that is also you
There as we search ever deeper, this truth comes into view

All that observe come to influence and change what we see
Here in this universe of certain and then the uncertainty
We find that taken to its smallest part all is energy
That vibrates and moves and interacts with variant frequency

My lady love says that my struggle with this proposition
Has to do with my mind and heart's subtle competition
As each tries to guide me to my fullest bit of understanding
And I find that all around me is at times too demanding

We operate in a world self absorbed thinking each apart
When in truth, we are all within God and joined at the heart
The struggle felt is nihilistic and fears for scarcity
When we inhabit a universe of giving to all in abundancy

Taken to it's smallest points we find that all is illusion
And yet though it may seem to be a bit of too much confusion
The reality that we see and think and feel is of relationship
Even the very God that we join together in our worship

I am grateful to find the bonds that I have with all I love
Circles back to me in all its joyous bits of pure energy
Given and taken in not so certain bits like manna from heaven
Though even that, I suppose, depends on its frequency

Thought For the Day: God’s Hands Formed You and Me To Be the Persons That We Are

“Just think, you’re here not by chance, but by God’s choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else – You are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can’t give you. He has allowed you to be here in this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.” – Roy Lessin

First Principles: Our Laws and Our Institutions Are Based On and Embody Christian Teachings

Unanimous ruling… every single sitting justice affirmed the above in 1892.  How did we reach this state that we are in today where for example a sitting President (Obama) declared we are not and where for example Chick Fil-A is afraid of affirming its own values?  The only way things get better in the US is if we are brave enough to stand up for our core beliefs and principles.

The Rock

A poem of gratitude #19:

Frog Hollow - Play the Game

The Rock
by Michael Romani

Steadfast in the rock that is my messiah
Sadly, I still fall victim to my worse desires
Like Peter, I know that I would have lied
If I falsely stated, Lord, you've never been denied

I have turned away but still sometimes I stray
The strength found in God seems to sometimes fadeaway
Walking me back to and from the temptation of sin
It's those times I know that I'm the weakest of men

Under the chill of a moonlight shadow
The wisdom of the olive tree started to show
There in my moments of sullen hesitation
Despite knowing the Lord's kingdom is my destination

As at the Garden of Gethsemane, I took my fall
The shadows of that night filled my hurting skull
Standing alone bordered on the edge of blasphemy
There where my angst and doubt got the best of me

Staring right into the depths of my soul
I know that the Lord sees me when I lose control
Too often trying to save myself from blame
My pride gets in the way and I fall to shame

Broken of my confidence in my self-reliance
I suffer the blows to my faith and obedience
Forgetting the wholeness needed in sacrifice
As I forget my gratitude for the grace that suffices

My life turns toward its prayerful supplication
In living the steps that move beyond declaration
It was easy enough to surrender my possessions
But, not so very easy to give up on my obsessions

Like Peter, I find myself weeping bitterly
In knowing the choice between Christ or me
One or the other, I must not deny
Yet, I remain blessed by the odds I cannot defy

My heart knows this that I must faithfully embrace
Here in my waking moments felt in His grace
It's in this connection in and with Holy worship
That I at last am restored to my right relationship

Thankfulness For the Armor of God

A poem in gratitude for our creator #18:

Aradia - In the Here of the Without You

Thankfulness For the Amor of God
by Michael Romani

When I look into the mirror
It no longer takes a seer
To see that I am not the enemy
But am still staring back the adversary

Whispers says and I suppose its true
That there's a bit of the Devil in me and you
Thankful for the armor, I fight this fight
Turning my life around toward the light

He's a clever one, that evil one
Humbly I submit, the battle's just begun
Guarding hard against the darkness
Sometimes losing myself to the harshness

Gratefully keeping myself steadfast in prayer
Patiently keeping in mind that the Devil's still there
No longer feeling quite as remorsefully blinded
But, constantly I remain reminded

Not quite as stubborn as I was in my youth
I keep my heart humbly grounded in the truth
Looking into that mirror, I am thankful for God's grace
But, at least I can look myself in the face

The Devil prowls around like a roaring lion
But, my eyes remain focused on God's Zion
Having once trusted in false leaders filled with greed
I've matured enough to know that it's God that I need

Thankfully, no longer captive to the Devil's schemes
The truth has allowed me to follow better dreams
Step by step, I die to myself in this simplicity
It's the holy saving grace found in my humility
