Luna Love
by Michael Romani

Sitting here looking out my window
Wondering how far it is for my soul
To have to fly to be inside your own
Smiling as the moon whispers I'm never alone

The old man on the moon whispers so discrete
Seems that he's inclined to share a secret
There in the details of shadow and light
Is L-O-V-E spelled out on the lunar night

Tender moon maiden collector of wishes and dreams
Seductively dances on traces of silver moon-beams
Offering lovers their one chance at immortality
Spun in the lives to be born as shape of divinity

The power of the moon is observed in ritual celebration
As lovers join together now and forever in intoxication
It's in the waxing and the waning of her energies
That Luna's love find it's own sense of sacred synergy

The snow moon assesses those things that make us rife
All the tricky details that join to make our life
Revealing all with her alluring moments of honesty
She shines her sheen like a well woven tapestry

And as I look up at this night's beautiful moon
I feel less alone with knowing that I'll be holding you soon
Even if that soon is merely in my pocketed dreams
And your gentle touches are just the flicker of moon beams
