Sentenced Prayers

Based in part on Philippians 4:6-7:

Footprints In the Sand - A Prayer Unspoken

Sentenced Prayers
by Michael Romani

Sentenced prayers that take us there
Succinctly take us further than may appear
As God's Children we are never alone
The company of the holy knows its own

Non-stop in our spiritual conversation
We keep the flow in this vitalization
There in our constant prayer without ceasing
Our supplications spoken ever increasing

The enemy of peace is found in that complexity
That dresses itself out stressed as anxiety
It just takes a little prayer to find more peace
Talking out our problems as we quietly release

All those things that add up too to much tension
As they overwhelm us and claim our full attention
Bring all these things to pray on fervently
Turning over all of this to God as we pray reverently
