POD 1 – Haiku 5-75

A Haiku Passage On Groundhog's Day

Ground Hog Day passes
Without a shadow growing
Spring will come early

No need for fireworks
This man is happy enough
Knowing this plain truth

Lightning crashes softly
There in the distance it's seen
But then so do I

Like nature's fireworks
There in that noontime dark sky
The world keeps spinning

Truth known so do I
In this passing of the days
Spring  is needed here
